Day long courses that run from 10-4:30pm. Learn how to cut glass and lead to construct a traditional leaded panel. No previous experience or equipment required and all materials included in workshop. The course includes learning to cut different types of glass, designing a small panel around A4 size and using lead and solder techniques to construct and complete your piece.

Come and create a beautiful colour ladder of glass that you can display in your home or your garden. This is a new half day course I am running from my workshop in Ormiston. Select from my lovely offcuts of glass and i will teach you how to cut the different types of glass and use traditional lead to create a framework. Copper hooks can be soldered to the top of the ladder so that chain or string can be attached to suspend the piece in front of a window or on a tree- you can decide

Come and indulge your creativity and join me in a 3 day stained glass workshop at Dukes of West Barns in East Lothian part of their Summer school programme. This workshop will include time for you to experiment with various techniques of glass painting, enameling and silver stain, an opportunity to develop a series of painterly marks or traditional images on glass. Then using lead along with a range of coloured glass create a stained glass panel around 50cmx40cm. This could be the opportunity to gain experience a new skill and create something for your home. Designs and templates can be supplied but i am also happy to guide you to create your own design to complete within the time frame of the course. All materials and use of specialist equipment is included in the course fee. course is limited to 6 participants with no previous glass experience required. A half day workshop (3hr) focuses on the copper foiled process. Select a template and learn how to cut glass, apply copper tape and solder to create your piece.
Spend a full day developing your copperfoil technique- select from templates provided or create your own, i am happy to assist to help you with your project.
Please bring a packed lunch and i supply the tea or coffee


During this short workshop you will learn to cut glass and use copper foil to create a Christmas decoration. For returners I will have a variety of different designs to choose from.
