Taster workshops in glass painting. These are 2.5-hour sessions where the focus is to create your own painted and framed piece of glass art. Using traditional glass paints, spend some time experimenting and mark making to create textures (the glass will then be fired in my kiln). The finished piece will need to be collected or posting arranged. Sessions lasts from 10am-12:30pm or 1:30pm- 4pm. Please highlight which session on your booking form.

If you could bring an apron or over shirt and wear warm clothes. Unfortunately, these courses are not suitable for pregnant women, due to working with glass paint.

Creates the opportunity to do the above courses in a more relaxed fashion over two or three sessions.

This day course will focus on experimenting with a range of mixed media techniques using a variety of drawing and painting materials. We will be spending time developing a series of marks and exploring a variety of surfaces, with the afternoon session focusing on one or two of these areas in more depth to create some finished or work in progress pieces.

Examples of Christmas Baubles (5).jpg

During this short workshop you will learn to cut glass and use lead and solder- all traditional stained-glass techniques - to create a Christmas bauble decoration. Then with non-firing paints you can decorate or use glass mosaic to add a final flourish and personalise your Bauble. Suitable for the complete beginner. Duration 2.5 hr course.

I am excited to launch a new workshop called "Super Saturday". It is going to run over two consecutive Saturday mornings and is aimed at folk who have already had some stained-glass experience; either attended my Intro to stained glass, or similar courses elsewhere.

You will spend the first part of the session creating your own small design and cutting the glass. Then you have the options to use traditional glass paint, and/or add textures to the glass in the kiln. I will fire all the glass for you over the week. The following Saturday you will be leading and finishing your piece.

If this sounds fun and you are interested, please get in touch. I only take a max. of three folk for this one.
