Creates the opportunity to do the above courses in a more relaxed fashion over two or three sessions.
1 to 1 sessions realising specific projects with glass.
Please get in touch to see about dates and availability as I run these courses regularly throughout the year. Have a look at my Facebook page facebook.com/katehendersonart to see examples of students work made on these courses.
10-4pm each day. Learn how to decorate glass using traditional glass paints and techniques, creating a small glass panel for your home. Suitable for those with some glass experience (such as the introductory course) as attendees will already know how to cut glass and construct a panel. Day one will focus on design and glass painting before the glass is fired and used in construction of your panel on the second day of the course. Specialist equipment provided and all materials included in course.
2.5-hour session covering the basics of cutting different types of glass, leading and soldering, and using these techniques to create and decorate (with non-firing glass paints) your own glass roundel. You could also use the glass to trap dried pressed flowers.
This day course will focus on experimenting with a range of mixed media techniques using a variety of drawing and painting materials. We will be spending time developing a series of marks and exploring a variety of surfaces, with the afternoon session focusing on one or two of these areas in more depth to create some finished or work in progress pieces.
